Terrorist killed in gunfight was suicide bomber: J&K Police
The police identified the terrorist as Aamir Riyaz from South Kashmir's Pulwama district. He was also affiliated with the terror outfit 'Gazwatul Hind'and was a relative of the 2019 Pulwama terror attack accused militant, said the police.

The firefight between terrorists and security forces at Chawalgam area took place after a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.
CRPF to send 5 more companies to J&K in wake of civilian killings

This was the second targeted killing in Srinagar in last two days. Earlier, a police constable in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar was shot dead by militants on Sunday. The terrorists had shot and critically wounded the salesman Mohammad Ibrahim Khan by brutally firing at him multiple times in the old city Bohri Kadal area of Srinagar.

Policeman killed by militants in Srinagar
Police sources said militants fired at constable Tauseef Ahmad in S.D. Colony of Batmaloo area in Srinagar district. "He was shifted to hospital in a critical condition and doctors declared him dead on arrival," a source said. The area has been cordoned off for searches, sources said.

Quoting its sources, news agency IANS reported that arms and funds for the terror networks in Jammu and Kashmir are being routed via the Punjab border, according to the recent investigations by the central probe agencies and state police.
