WBSSC Scam: CBI approaches court demanding Partha Chatterjee's custody
The CBI on Thursday made an appeal to a special court of the agency in Kolkata seeking permission to take Chatterjee into custody. The matter will be heard on Friday and former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee will have to be physically present in the court during the hearing.

"A CBI officer committed suicide two days earlier. It has come to know that the officer - Jitendra Kumar - was the Deputy Legal Adviser in the Anti-Corruption Branch of the CBI. He was looking after the legality of the fake FIR against me. He was being pressurised to approve the arrest by making a case against me in an illegal way," Manish Sisodia said in a press briefing here.
CBI raids residences of Anubrata Mondal's CA, close associates
At around 10 a.m. after a marathon questioning for around two hours, the CBI sleuths also detained Bishwajyoti Bandopadhyay, the councillor of Ward Number 19 of Bolpur Municipality. The CBI also raided the residences of Manish Kothari, Mondal's personal chartered accountant, and Sudip Roy, the Bolpur-based local businessman.

"Nothing was found in my bank locker today just like nothing was found at my residence during the CBI raid. I am happy that I have got a clean chit," said Manish Sisodia after the probe agency examined his locker at the bank. He also added that the CBI officials treated them well and they also cooperated with them. "The truth has won," he added.

In the FIR, only five sale deeds were mentioned but now the CBI has come across 200 sale deeds. All these documents have been seized by the agency. The CBI has also recovered jewellery. Raids were conducted at residences of RJD MLC Sunil Singh, party leaders Ashfaque Karim, Faiyaz Ahmad and Subodh Roy.

The raids are also being held at the residence of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLC Sunil Singh, who is considered to be close to Lalu. The CBI team is currently scanning various documents at his house. The CBI had learnt during the probe that Lalu's wife Rabri Devi and daughter Hema Yadav were gifted land in connection with the scam by job seekers who were later appointed in the railways.
Cattle smuggling case: Now CBI raids residence of Anhubrata Mondal's close aide
The raids were conducted at Gayen's residence in Kalikapur area at Bolpur in Birbhum district of West Bengal. Gayen is the second Director in two companies, ANM Agrochem Foods Pvt Ltd and Neer Developer Pvt Ltd, where the other director is Mondal's daughter, Sukanya Mondal. The rice mill owned by her also has the name of Gayen as a partner.
'Tell me where to come', Manish Sisodia on lookout notice
"All your raids have failed. Nothing has been found. Misappropriation of even a single penny was not found. Now you have issued a look out notice that Manish Sisodia is not available. What is this gimmick, Modi ji? I am roaming freely in Delhi, tell me where to come? I can't find you?," Sisodia said in a tweet in Hindi.
No clarity from CBI on Look Out Notice against Sisodia, others
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has not clarified so far whether the Look Out Notice (LOC) had been served against Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 13 others. When approached, the concerned officials, wishing anonymity, said that "they did not have any information in this respect".
