The BCCI has opted for an e-auction for the bilateral media rights, with a base price of INR 25 crores for India digital + rest of world TV & digital rights and INR 20 crores for India television rights, continuing the trend from IPL media rights auction. There’s a rider though: the cumulative value for a game must not be less than INR 60 crores, otherwise BCCI has the right to annul the auction.

As per a report in Cricbuzz, the media rights auction is set to take place on August 31. It added that other entities such as Zee and FanCode along with two other multinational companies, Google and Amazon, did not participate in the technical rights bid held on Monday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had extended an invitation to the Indian cricket board to attend the matches in the Pakistan leg of the tournament, which gets underway on August 30. According to reports, the two BCCI officials will travel to Pakistan via Wagah Border on September 4 as representatives of the board during the Asia Cup.

In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary gave details of the income tax paid by the BCCI and its income and expenditure in the last five years based on the returns filed.

"The right-arm pacer has a sore ankle and as a precautionary measure has been advised to rest by the BCCI medical team. The team has not called for a replacement player for the ODI series, which commences on July 27, 2023, in Barbados," the BCCI said in a statement.

Earlier, fast bowler Mohammed Siraj did the star turn with the ball, claiming 5/60 that went a long way in bowling out the Windies for 255 in the 1st innings. Thereafter, skipper Rohit Sharma (57) and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan (52 not out) played whirlwind knocks to help India declare their second innings at 181/2.

He scored 7212 runs in 113 Tests at an average of 42.17 with 16 centuries. In ODI cricket, Ganguly played 311 matches, scoring 11,363 runs at an average of 41.02 with 22 centuries.
