Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Divya Malhotra, presiding over the Rouse Avenue Court, provided relief to Chief Minister Kejriwal on a bail bond of Rs 50,000 along with a surety of Rs 50,000.

Special Judge Rakesh Syal of the Rouse Avenue Court emphasized that the Chief Minister could address any exemptions directly with the magisterial court. "For exemption, you can move the trial court," the judge asserted.

Clutching placards that mirrored their dissatisfaction with INDIA bloc leaders, the demonstrators marched towards the Congress headquarters, their voices raised in protest. The scene near the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters on Ashoka Road was fraught with tension as the demonstrators confronted a robust police presence.

The national capital is home to a significant population of Hindu and Sikh refugees who fled persecution in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to official sources, the ED filed a fresh complaint seeking prosecution of Kejriwal for failing to respond to multiple summonses issued under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). These summonses, numbered 4 to 8, were allegedly disregarded by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor.

This latest complaint focuses on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor failing to comply with summonses numbered 4 to 8 sent by the federal probe agency under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

According to sources familiar with the matter, Kejriwal has been instructed to appear before the ED on March 4.

Kejriwal has been summoned to appear before the financial investigative body on February 26. Earlier this week, Kejriwal did not attend the ED's sixth summons related to the purported excise policy discrepancies.

Kejriwal, a prominent figure in Indian politics and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has consistently rejected these summons, terming them "illegal." However, a Delhi court recently ruled in favor of the ED, stating Kejriwal has a legal obligation to cooperate.

Kejriwal joined a protest against the Union government organized at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar by leaders and lawmakers from Kerala’s Left Democratic Front, spearheaded by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Addressing the gathering, Kejriwal asserted, “Opposition parties govern half of the states and represent 70 crore people in the country. The BJP has initiated a concerted effort against opposition-ruled states, employing various tactics to harass these governments.”
