The order stipulates that prior approval from the Lieutenant Governor is mandatory for all such appointments. "This will completely strangle the Delhi government and its services. I don't know what the Hon'ble LG aims to achieve by doing all this. I hope the Hon'ble Supreme Court immediately quashes it," Arvind Kejriwal tweeted on Thursday.

Sources told IANS that Kejriwal raised the issue of the Congress not making its stand clear on the Centre's ordinance over control of services and alleged that it had a secret pact with the BJP over the issue and would stage a walkout during the voting in the Rajya Sabha when the law replacing the ordinance comes up.
