Addressing a public meeting at Avanigadda on Sunday as part of fourth leg of his Varahi yatra, Pawan Kalyan said that the defeat of Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is a foregone conclusion.

The survey had a sample size of 1,809 respondents.

Reddy said that Naidu, "who led all his political life exploiting the people", can’t escape the long arm of law as he was caught red-handed in the scam. The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting in this town at Nidadavolu in East Godavari district.

Chandrababu Naidu is currently lodged in prison on charges of corruption.

The arrest came at a time when Naidu and his son were in the midst of intensive mass contact campaigns, targeting the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government. Naidu was arrested from a bus in which he was taking rest in Nandyal after addressing a public meeting as part of ‘Babu Surety-Bhavisyathuku Guarantee’, a mass contact programme launched by him on September 1.

Amid tight security, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) brought the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo to Rajahmundry from Vijayawada by road.

The TDP chief was arrested at around 6 a.m. in the morning by the CID team headed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police M. Dhananjayudu.

On a day when Naidu attended the release of Rs 100 coin by President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi to commemorate former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao's birth anniversary, Jagan launched a bitter attack on him, saying he shamelessly attended the event though he had backstabbed the TDP founder to usurp power.
