This unsettling event occurred just a day after Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy faced a similar ordeal while campaigning in Vijayawada. Reddy sustained a minor injury to his left eyebrow when a stone was thrown at him in the Ajith Singh Nagar area. Medical attention was swiftly administered to the Chief Minister, who was conducting the "Memantha Siddham Yatra" at the time of the incident. Additionally, Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, the Vijayawada West MLA, suffered an injury to his left eye during the same attack.

With elections for the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats scheduled for May 13, such incidents underscore the heightened tensions and risks associated with political campaigning in the region.
