Ritu Singh faced termination of her services by Daulat Ram College in 2020, and she has been actively protesting against alleged caste-based discrimination and harassment orchestrated by the college administration. The legal proceedings regarding this matter are currently underway.

The arrested individuals, identified as Asif Ali, Danish Ali, and Sartaj Khan from Uttar Pradesh's Badaun, were found in possession of fake currency with a face value of Rs 50 lakh. The police revealed that the accused had printed and supplied fake notes with a face value of Rs 5 crore over the last five years.

The suspects were reportedly affiliated through the 'Bhagat Singh Fan Club' on Facebook, with suspicions of external direction. A Special Cell team is set to question a person in West Bengal associated with the case.

"We have bolstered our presence at key locations and are maintaining constant vigilance to prevent any untoward incidents," said a senior police official. 

According to the officials, the case pertains to a passenger who caused disruption on the flight and directed offensive language at the female cabin crew.

The deceased has been identified as Anil Sisodia, a resident of Jangpura, who was posted at Southwest district police headquarters. 

A Delhi court on Wednesday also remanded to seven days of police custody.

The police have also arrested Shahnawaz's two associates and recovered incriminating materials from their possession, including those suspected to be used in IED fabrication.
