Announced by the streaming giant on Friday, "Dil Dosti Dilemma," a fresh young adult series, is set to debut on Prime Video on April 25.
Based on Andaleeb Wajid's 2016 novel "Asmara's Summer," the series is helmed by director Debbie Rao and brought to life by the production efforts of Ten Years Younger Productions. The cast includes Anushka Sen, Kush Jotwani, Tanvi Azmi, and Shishir Sharma in prominent roles.
The narrative of "Dil Dosti Dilemma" delves into the life of Asmara, a vivacious and popular young girl. Her summer takes an unexpected twist when she is sent to her grandparents' neighborhood as a disciplinary measure.
Striving to maintain the façade of being in Canada with her friends, Asmara finds herself at a crossroads. Will this experience prove to be a nightmare, a journey of self-discovery, or perhaps both? With an array of plot twists and heartwarming revelations, viewers are invited to accompany Asmara as she embarks on a quest for self-realization, nurtures familial ties, cultivates genuine friendships, and explores the enchanting alleys of Tibbri Road, where first love blooms.
Penned by Anuradha Tiwari, Bugs Bhargava Krishna, Raghav Dutt, and Manjiri Pupala, "Dil Dosti Dilemma" also boasts Seema Mohapatra and Jahanara Bhargava as creative producers.
Aparna Purohit, Head of Originals for India and Southeast Asia at Prime Video, expressed the company's recognition of the burgeoning interest in young adult content among viewers, both domestically and internationally.

Featuring Shruti Seth, Vishakha Pandey, Revathi Pillai, Elisha Mayor, and Suhasini Mulay in significant roles, "Dil Dosti Dilemma" will premiere in Hindi, with dubbed versions available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
