The trade after all has maintained for a while now that, with vaccination in place and with the world cautiously opening up in the latest unlock phase, all it would take for the Hindi film trade to get going once again is one big hit. This, in turn, called for a film with the right entertainment quotient, pre-release hype and, most importantly, a star who doesn't have to try too hard to draw the crowds.

Official sources said the actor reached Neeru village of Tulail by helicopter at around 12 noon. "He is scheduled to interact with the army and BSF troopers in Neeru village. "He will also interact with the locals in remote area who in these villages brave hardships like heavy snowfall and extreme inaccessibility," the sources said.

Akshay posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday to announce the news. "I know you have patiently waited for the release of #Bellbottom. Couldn't be happier to finally announce the release of our film. Arriving on the big screens worldwide #BellBottomOn27July," Akshay captioned the video.

"What waking up to FAKE Scoops feels like!" Akshay tweeted on Monday. His tweet comes in reaction to a news piece which claims that the actor has reduced his fees by Rs 30 crore for "Bell Bottom". Vashu Bhagnani, one of the producers of the film, also denied all such reports. Reacting to the news piece, Bhagnani tweeted: "No Truth to this news at all."

Akshay also revealed that it was wrestler Brian Lee who had played the role of WWE wrestler The Undertaker in the action film. "A hilarious note to mark 25 years to the release of #KhiladiyonKaKhiladi tomorrow! A fun fact though: it was wrestler Brian Lee who played The Undertaker in the film," Akshay shared in an Instagram post.

In the image, a young Akshay is smiles at the camera with Abbas and Mustan on either side. The photo seems to be clicked at a party around the release of the film. "Today marks #29YearsofKhiladi. The first hit of our career. Feels like yesterday with its memories still so vivid in our minds.

Taking to his Instagram, Rathore while sharing a clipping of a news article, wrote that the outfit respects Akshay Kumar and appreciates him for his work in the past. He added that producer Aditya Chopra would have paid more respect to the last Hindu Samrat and would have used his name in a more respectful manner. He warned that either they accept these conditions or consequences would be the same as they were during the release of Padmaavat.

Akshay cited his 2018 release "Pad Man" to highlight the issue. The R. Balki film was inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a smalltown entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu who invented low-cost sanitary napkins to generate awareness in rural areas. The film also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in key roles.
