Facebook adds 'audio dates' on its Dating app

According to The Verge, one of the biggest new features is audio dates, which will let users start an audio conversation with somebody they match with. When you try to start a call with someone, the other person will receive an invitation. If they accept, you both can have a chat, the report said on Tuesday. Facebook is also allowing users to set up two additional places in Facebook Dating where they want to look for matches.
Now Microsoft challenges $10 bn NSA cloud contract won by AWS

Google curbs ad targeting of minors, allows them to remove photos

Removing an image from Search doesn't remove it from the web but "we believe this change will help give young people more control of their images online," Google said in a statement late on Tuesday. Google will also no longer allow ad targeting of children based on their age, gender, or interests.
OnePlus probe reveals Nord 2 explosion claim was false

The popular smartphone brand told IANS in an updated statement that earlier in the day, they were notified on Twitter about an alleged blast case for the OnePlus Nord 2. A Twitter user Shubham Srivastava mentioned about the explosion in his tweet, but later deleted the post, without uploading any photos of the alleged exploded device.

Twitter's photo-cropping algorithm picks young, light-skinned females

The microblogging site had, in March, disabled the system as users noted that it favoured white and female faces while auto-cropping images. It then launched an algorithmic bug bounty competition offering prizes of up to $3,500 to analyse how the technology incorrectly handles photos, the Verge reported. The top entry, contributed by Bogdan Kulynych, a graduate student in computer security at EPFL in Switzerland.
