Samsung to use recycled material in new mobile products by 2025
Samsung unveiled its new sustainable vision for the mobile business, "Galaxy for the Planet," at its Unpacked event on Wednesday, where the company also introduced new foldable smartphones. To achieve its initial sustainability goals, Samsung said it will first try to incorporate recycled material in all new mobile products and eliminate all plastics in mobile packaging by 2025.
WhatsApp to allow users to switch OS with chat history
The company said it will be introducing the ability to move the entire WhatsApp chat history -- including voice notes, photos and conversations -- seamlessly and securely if users choose to switch mobile operating systems. "We are excited for the first time to make it easy for people to securely transfer their WhatsApp history from one operating system to another," Whatsapp Product Manager Sandeep Paruchuri said in a statement.
