PM Modi Declares BJP's Chief Ministerial Oath Ceremony in Odisha on June 10

Speaking at a large rally in the Berhampur constituency, PM Modi called on the electorate to support the concept of a "double-engine government" in the state.

During his recent visit to Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a scathing critique of the incumbent Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Congress party, accusing them of exploiting the state's resources and perpetuating poverty over the past seven decades since Independence.

Speaking at a large rally in the Berhampur constituency, PM Modi called on the electorate to support the concept of a "double-engine government" in the state.

Asserting his criticism of the Naveen Patnaik-led administration, PM Modi declared, "Remember this, the BJD government's tenure will end on June 4. Today is May 6, and a month from now, on June 6, the BJP's candidate for Chief Minister will be announced, with the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for June 10 in Bhubaneswar."

Extending an invitation to the forthcoming BJP government's inauguration, PM Modi proclaimed the fading influence of the BJD and the disarray of the Congress in Odisha, while positioning the BJP as the beacon of hope.

Emphasizing the importance of a Chief Minister who understands Odia culture, PM Modi pledged swift resolution of the state's challenges under BJP governance.

Highlighting the visionary manifesto presented by the Odisha BJP, PM Modi assured the crowd of the party's commitment to fulfilling promises once in power.

Blaming the Congress and BJD for the state's impoverished state despite its abundance of natural resources, PM Modi contrasted the financial aid provided by his government with the alleged mismanagement of development projects by the BJD administration.

Citing examples such as the Jal Jivan Mission and free rice distribution, PM Modi accused the BJD of either neglecting or misappropriating central initiatives for their own gain.

Notably, Odisha is gearing up for simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, scheduled in four phases from May 13 to June 1, with results expected on June 4 for both legislative bodies.
