Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned home on triumph to the city of Ayodhya after three and half months and was welcomed with an enthusiastic crowd.
Prime Minister Modi visited Ayodhya for the auspicious Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22.
As the Prime Minister's convoy reached Ayodhya, large crowds thronged the streets, showering him with flower petals and chanting sacred mantras in a show of welcome.
Among the crowd, one finds people proudly displaying their political colour with the placards which read "Main hoon Modi ka Parivar" (I am part of Modi's family).
The presence of numerous saints added to the spiritual ambience as they eagerly waited for the arrival of PM Modi.
Ayodhya itself was dressed up for the occasion, adorned in its finery, and sparkling with lights to provide a mystical ambience.
On reaching Ayodhya, PM Modi went straight to the Ram Mandir, where he had prayers before he took out for a grand roadshow.
The 2-kilometer procession, stretching from Sugriv Qila to Lata Chowk, had stunning performances by folk dancers and singers, accompanied by fervent chants of 'Modi, Modi'.
Alongside UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and party candidate Lallu Singh (Ayodhya) PM Modi carried the illuminated lotus symbol of the party as he waved back at the jubilant crowds along the route.
