Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Air Force Station at Adampur on Tuesday, delivering a powerful and motivational speech to the armed forces. He lauded their valour and once again asserted India's unflinching dedication to national security.
After Operation Sindoor, he said India's strategy towards fighting terrorism has entered a transformative period — one that is aimed, resolute, and firm.
Referring to the slogan "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" as something beyond words, PM Modi underlined that it is a sacred promise for soldiers and citizens alike.
"When Indian soldiers recite it on the battlefield, it gives the enemy shivers," he said, going on to state that the chant now echoes with each missile and drone strike that tears down enemy fortresses.".
The Prime Minister referred to Operation Sindoor as a milestone, marking a "trinity" of intention, policy and good implementation.
He announced categorically that the operation was not another mere routine military maneuver, but an exhibition of bold India's potency, accuracy and technology.
"India is the land of Buddha and Guru Gobind Singh Ji," he declared, appealing to India's glorious past of bravery and virtue.
PM Modi also mentioned that those who attempted to hurt India's daughters in the dark were taken care of firmly in their own hideouts.
Reiterating the success of Operation Sindoor, he mentioned that it had reduced nine major terror bases and killed more than 100 terrorists, giving an unambiguous signal to the cross-border terrorism planners.
"Provoking India today results in only one outcome — complete annihilation," he declared firmly.
He also added that the Pakistani army, which has been hosting the terrorists for such a long period, was left embarrassed and revealed to the whole world.
PM Modi was pleased with the fact that Operation Sindoor not just showcased tactical achievements but also created a strong indicator of India's unified military potential.
"The Navy won maritime dominance, the Army bolstered borders, and the Air Force used accurate and crippling strikes," he described.
He also praised the Border Security Force (BSF) and other paramilitary forces for their outstanding performance, and pointed towards the impeccable coordination among all military branches, calling it a new benchmark of India's readiness.
Particular mention was made of the performance of India's air defence systems — the indigenously developed Akash and the cutting-edge Russian S-400 systems — that successfully intercepted Pakistani missiles and UAVs.
The Prime Minister also spoke about Pakistan's disinformation campaign, which had falsely reported the destruction of the Adampur base and the S-400 system. This was quickly refuted when a picture of PM Modi standing alongside the undamaged S-400 system was released.
He referred to this photo as India's quiet but strong response to Pakistan's lies.
PM Modi praised the armed forces for the accurate conduct of the operation, citing that in a span of 25 minutes, Indian aircraft had attacked major terror camps deep within Pakistan.
As much as Pakistan tried to hide its actions behind the use of civilian aircraft, Indian forces exercised restraint, without causing any collateral damage.
"That is the power of a professional, technologically advanced force," he added.
Prime Minister also cautioned that even though India had suspended military operations at Pakistan's behest, this should not be construed as weakness.
"If pushed again, India will strike back with all its might — on its own terms, at its own time," he stated, reaffirming that India would be holding both the terror masters and the governments shielding them accountable.".
In his final comments, PM Modi stated that the armed forces not only protected India's borders but also raised the pride of every Indian citizen.
Their bravery, he added, would be recalled for generations to come.
"This is the new India," he said confidently.
"We seek peace, but if humanity is under threat, we will not hold back from destroying our enemies."
