Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the real strength of 'Made in India' defense equipment was strongly proved in Operation Sindoor, in which targeted strikes wiped out terrorist strongholds and caused extensive damage to airbases deep inside Pakistan's territory.
"The world is now seeing the rise of 'Made in India' defence systems as a strong force in 21st-century warfare," PM Modi said in his address to the nation.
He also stressed that India's precision and strong strikes have left Pakistan badly frustrated and propelled it to an extent of desperation.
Rather than being a participant in the entire world against terror, Pakistan simply retaliated unilaterally by attacking Indian educational institutions, gurudwaras, temples, residential civilian homes, as well as army bases, PM Modi asserted.
He pointed out that Pakistan's belligerence unveiled its vulnerabilities, as its drones and missiles were quickly destroyed by India's advanced air defence systems, which countered the threats in the air.
PM Modi pointed out that while Pakistan had been gearing up to attack India's borders, India attacked effectively at the center of Pakistan. Indian missiles and drones made precise, destructive hits on Pakistani airfields that the nation had been proud of boasting about for long. In the first three days of India's counterattack, Pakistan was badly damaged, much more than what it had been expecting.
After India's hard-hitting reprisals, Pakistan attempted to diffuse the crisis, appealing to the international community for help to ease the heightened tensions, said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister reiterated that India has uniformly beaten Pakistan militarily, and Operation Sindoor was a shining example of the nation's prowess in military strengths. He asserted India's capabilities in desert and mountain warfare while securing supremacy in 'New Age Warfare'.
PM Modi, in his address, called the Indian-made Brahmos missiles employed in Operation Sindoor to hit and destroy strategic airbases and air defence systems of Pakistan. Kamikaze drones, co-developed by Adani Group's Alpha Design Technologies and Israel-based company Elbit Systems, were also successfully employed during the operation in a major success for India's defence sector.
These drones, which have been made in Bengaluru in India's 'Make in India' program, can deliver very accurate strikes and have a loiter time of two hours. This marks a huge step for India's pursuit of self-sufficiency in advanced defence technology.
