Referring to certain Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena (BSS) leaders questioning the need for the BJY, he said that it is intended to "connect" the country, "hear" the voices of the masses, and spread the message of love through the march. "If the government still feels they want to stop it, then let them do it... No problems. I have decided to continue it from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and hoist the tricolour in Srinagar," declared Gandhi, in a media interaction here this afternoon.

ED grills Jharkhand CM for over 9 hrs in 'illegal' mining case
On ED's summons, the Chief Minister had reached the ED's zonal office in Ranchi at 12:05 p.m., from where he left at 9.35 p.m. His wife Kalpana Soren reached the ED office to pick him up after the questioning. According to sources, a team of three ED officials asked him about 100 questions on Thursday, and the Chief Minister can be again called for further questioning.
Azam Khan's name removed from electoral rolls
Azam Khan's name has now been removed from the electoral roll in Rampur, weeks after he was convicted in a 2019 hate speech case. The decision means that the senior SP leader will not be able to vote in the December 5 by-election in his traditional seat of Rampur. The decision to remove his name from the list was taken by the Rampur Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) on a complaint by BJP's poll candidate Akash Saxena, who cited various provisions of law to seek the deletion of his name.

Cattle smuggling case: ED arrests Trinamool leader Anubrata Mondal
An ED source said it would soon initiate the legal process for taking Mondal to Delhi and question him at the agency's headquarters in the national capital. The Central Bureau of Investigation which is conducting a parallel probe in the case, had first arrested Mondal on August 11 this year. Since then, he had been in judicial custody at the Asansol Special Correctional Home.
