Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi had earlier tweeted, ""Winter Session 2022 of Parliament will commence from 7 December & continue till 29th December having 17 sittings spread over 23 days. Amid Amrit Kaal, looking forward to discussions on Legislative Business & other items during the session. Looking forward for constructive debate." The 258th session of the Rajya Sabha will have 17 sittings spread over 23 days.

As of now, all the personal staff who are appointed after completing two years in service are eligible for lifelong pension and other benefits. This leads to a mad scramble to get into the staff of Ministers.

According to state secretariat sources, the chief minister might use the opportunity of her visit to New Delhi to have a separate meeting with the Prime Minister on the occasion, where she can again raise the demands on the pending central dues to the West Bengal government. However, no confirmation has reached the state secretariat as yet on whether the separate meeting will happen or not.

As per an Enforcement Directorate (ED) report, Jain has access to all privileges like home-cooked food and massages in his cell. In a recently submitted report before a Delhi court, the probe agency has stated that Jain is being given "special treatment" in his Tihar Jail cell in the form of head and foot massages, fruits, food and papers. He is allowed to meet people, including other accused, beyond permissible hours. As per the CCTV footage, in violation of the rules, jail superintendent met Jain every day to enquire about his well-being, it claimed. Jain's wife, Poonam Jain, also visits him often in the cell.

Asked about the allegations levelled by opposition parties that Governors work as the 'B' team of BJP, Bose said, "That is a political observation, not a constitutional or legal observation. I would like confined myself to the role of Governor as per the Consitution of India. I leave out politics. I will go by facts, not allegations."
