DMK-Congress alliance founded on discrimination and division: PM Modi in Coimbatore

"DMK-Congress is founded on discrimination and division. Their aim for this election is to make Modi leave the country while our priority is to rid the country of its vices like corruption, discrimination and poverty," PM Modi said.

In a fervent address to a bustling gathering of BJP supporters at Mettupalayam in Coimbatore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn't mince words as he slammed the alliance between the DMK and Congress. Accusing them of laying the foundation on principles of discrimination and division, PM Modi emphasized that their sole agenda seemed to be power acquisition at any cost.

"DMK-Congress is founded on discrimination and division. Their aim for this election is to make Modi leave the country while our priority is to rid the country of its vices like corruption, discrimination and poverty," PM Modi said.

Highlighting the historical negligence towards the SC-ST-OBC communities by the Congress-DMK coalition, PM Modi expressed his disdain for their lack of trust in the potential of the Indian populace. He stressed the importance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 19, urging the people of Tamil Nadu to envision a future free from the shackles of corruption and nepotism.

"The Congress has long promised to eradicate poverty under the guise of 'Garibi Hatao', yet it remained a distant dream until the NDA government took decisive steps, uplifting 25 crore people from poverty," PM Modi remarked, contrasting the actions of his government with the hollow promises of his political adversaries.

Taking a swipe at the alleged discriminatory practices of the DMK, PM Modi cited instances where the NDA government's initiatives like the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' aimed to provide water to millions, contrasting sharply with the politicized distribution of resources by the DMK.

Expressing his gratitude towards the overwhelming support received from the people of Tamil Nadu, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to the development of regions like Kongu and Nilgiris, historically supportive of the BJP's ideology.

"Everywhere I have been to in Tamil Nadu, I have witnessed huge support for the BJP and people seem to be ready to give a nice send-off to the DMK. I guarantee that we will develop the Kongu and Nilgiris area of Tamil Nadu. This is Modi's guarantee," said.

Touching upon the appointment of a tribal woman as the President of India by the NDA government, PM Modi underscored the contrasting stance of the Congress-DMK alliance, which had vehemently opposed her candidacy.
