Heartbreak & Talent: Young Celebrities Like Shefali Jariwala Struck Down by Cardiac Ailments

The untimely death of actress Shefali Jariwala has shaken the entertainment industry. The actress had died on Friday following a cardiac arrest, it is reported. Her sudden death contributes to a worrying trend of young actors losing their lives due to heart conditions.

In a similar tragic coincidence, actor Sidharth Shukla, who had also competed with Shefali in Bigg Boss 13, also succumbed to a heart attack in 2021 at the age of only 40 years. Sidharth, the season winner, was also rumored to have once dated Shefali.

Another actor, Deepesh Bhan, who is best known for his work in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, was also reportedly killed by a heart attack in 2022 when he was 41 years old.

The Kannada cinema industry also lost one of its popular stars when Puneeth Rajkumar passed away in 2021 due to a heart attack at the age of 46.

Even internationally, unexpected cardiac deaths of celebrities at a young age are not uncommon. Hollywood starlet Brittany Murphy expired from cardiac arrest in 2009 at the age of 32. Singer Cass Elliot, popularly called "Mama Cass," also passed away in 1974 at the same age following a heart attack due to obesity.

Since Shefali's passing away, condolences have come in from all directions of the entertainment industry. One of the first to respond was musician Mika Singh, who posted on Instagram, "I'm deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart. Our beloved dear friend @shefalijariwala has left us.

Aly Goni, an actor, offered his respects in the form of a photo posted on his Instagram Stories, captioning "RIP Shefali." He also tweeted, "Shocked and saddened to hear Shefali Jariwala's untimely passing. Life is so unpredictable. Rest in peace."

Karishma Tanna too expressed her sorrow on her Instagram Stories, saying, "Heavy heart. This is unbelievable!! Gone too soon."

Celebrity cook Kunal Kapur posted an emotive message with a picture of Shefali, saying, "Life is so delicate. Just forgive and forget. Hug the ones you love and take time to be joyful with the people you love. Shocked & heartbroken over this terrible news of Shefali's demise."

Actor Paras Chhabra posted his feelings in a picture with Shefali and wrote, "Kiski zindagi kitni likhi hai koi nahi janta. Om Shanti."

There are reports that Shefali had a cardiac arrest on Friday. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, took her to a Mumbai-based hospital in the Andheri area, where doctors already declared her dead upon admission. She was subsequently shifted to the Cooper Hospital in Andheri for official purposes and her post-mortem had been done.
