India acted firmly in retaliation to Pakistan's ongoing drone and missile strikes, striking at least eight military bases in Pakistan in a pinpoint attack on Friday night. The response caused significant destruction, as unveiled by the Centre during a special press briefing on 'Operation Sindoor.'
The synchronized attacks targeted six Pakistani military installations with pinpoint precision, along with one radar facility and one air base. The briefing was conducted by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, joined by Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi.
"Indian troops attacked military installations at Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian using air-launched precision weapons, fighter aircraft, and ammunition. A radar station in Pasrur and an aviation base in Sialkot were also attacked with precision, with minimum collateral damage and loss of life," Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said.
In return, the Indian military targeted Pakistan's technical infrastructure such as command hubs, radar bases, and weaponry stores, following Pakistan's deliberate attacks on Indian airfields overnight.
The Indian delegation confirmed Pakistan had attacked Indian bases in cities like Udhampur, Pathankot, and Bathinda but dismissed reports of massive damage.
To further invalidate Pakistan's mischievous claims, Wing Commander Singh showed date and time-stamped photographs of the damaged military establishments, rebutting Pakistan's attempts to hit Indian Air Force installations.
Pakistan's status as a terrorism nest and its repeated efforts to rake up tensions was highlighted in the briefing. It revealed that evidence from intelligence reports indicate that Pakistan has been transferring troops to frontline border locations, hinting at a possible attack.
"Pakistani troop movements into forward positions indicate a desire to escalate the situation further. Indian armed forces are on their toes, and all hostile actions have been successfully countered," Wing Commander Singh concluded.
