When fire broke out, Manish Lakra was inside building: Delhi Police
Lakra, a resident of Mundka village, went absconding after the incident that claimed the lives of 27 people while 12 sustained burn injuries. "When the fire broke out, Lakra was in his residence on the top floor and when he sensed that smoke was coming from the below floors, he immediately left everything and rushed out of the building," Deputy Commissioner of Police Sameer Sharma said.

The Union Education Ministry is going to recognise the Veda-based education board, which would work like any other education board. Experts of Sanskrit language and mathematics will also be involved in the process.
Though there is no degree level course on Vedic education so far, the ministry is in favour of providing Vedic education and Veda-based knowledge to the students.

With new Covid cases, the total caseload of the city has jumped to 18,99,745, while the death toll has risen to 26,192.
Delhi fire tragedy: 7 bodies identified
Bodies of Tania Bhushan, Mohini Pal, Yashoda Devi, Ranju Devi, Vishal, Drishti and Kailash Jyani have been identified till now. The remaining 20 are yet to be identified. Meanwhile, the relatives of the people, who were inside the building at the time of the fire incident, are still clueless and unable to find their loved ones, 15 hours after the inferno claimed 27 lives.
