'Won't' tolerate obstruction', SC allows ED to summon Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata
A bench headed by Justice U.U. Lalit said the state government will provide assistance to the ED officials, who will have to give a 24-hour prior notice to question Banerjee and his wife. "If there is any kind of hooliganism or infraction, we will not tolerate it," said the bench, also comprising Justices S. Ravindra Bhat and Sudhanshu Dhulia.

Mathura court agrees to hear plea for videography of Shahi Idgah
The petitioners, who included Manish Yadav, Mahendra Pratap Singh and Dinesh Sharma, have sought the appointment of an advocate commissioner for conducting the video survey in the Shahi Idgah mosque premises in Mathura. According to the petition, the petitioners have claimed that the Shahi Idgah mosque was built after demolishing a part of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple which was spread on 13.37 acre land.

In a "digital rape", the accused person or the rapist uses his hands, toes, fingers or any other object for forceful penetration. The man, identified as Maurice Ryder, was also accused of committing obscene acts with the victim. Based on the minor's complaint, the police registered a case under sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and section 5 and 6 of the POCSO act.

Heat wave over NW, central India, highest max temperature at 49 degrees C
Heat wave conditions were observed in many parts over Vidarbha and at isolated pockets over southwest Bihar and Jharkhand, the India Meteorology Department (IMD) said and predicted no significant change in maximum temperatures over many parts of NW India and central India on Monday but fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius during subsequent two days.
