Spearheaded by Yossi Daggan, the head of the Samaria Regional Council and the Nahala movement, this collective believes that re-establishing settlements is crucial for Israel's security. Daggan asserted during a press conference in Tel Aviv on Friday that the restoration of settlements in Northern Gaza is a prerequisite for achieving victory over Hamas.

According to Daggan, the connection between the settlement of Jewish communities and regional security is integral. He urged the government to swiftly undertake the resettlement of the Jewish population in these areas immediately after the conclusion of the conflict.

The coalition of right-wing organizations is urging the Israeli government to take the first step by initiating resettlement in Northern Gaza and subsequently expanding it to former Jewish settlements such as Nitzan, El Sinai, and Dugit, which are in proximity to Ashkelon.

Following a significant attack by Hamas on October 7 in Ashkelon, which shares a border with Gaza, Zviv Elimelech of the Nahala movement emphasized the necessity for widespread resettlement of the Jewish population throughout Gaza. Elimelech also called for the nullification of the Gaza withdrawal that occurred in the aftermath of the Oslo Accords.
