Bangladesh General Election Scheduled for January 7, 2024

On Wednesday, Bangladesh Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal made a crucial announcement, unveiling the date for the upcoming 12th general election scheduled to take place on January 7, 2024.

In a televised address to the nation, Commissioner Awal emphasized the constitutional obligation to conduct the national election within a span of 90 days. 

He assured the public that the Election Commission has diligently undertaken all necessary preparations to ensure that the 12th national election unfolds in a manner that is not only free but also fair and impartial. 

This commitment underscores the Commission's dedication to upholding the democratic principles vital to the electoral process.
