Trinamool Congress leadership will also contact the chief ministers of non-BJP ruled states and urge them to be a part of a joint nationwide movement on the issues. Immediately after the 2021 West Bengal Assembly polls, Supriyo shifted from the BJP to the Trinamool Congress and also resigned as the Asansol Lok Sabha MP.
