Sundar got the wickets of DC skipper David Warner (21), Sarfaraz Khan (10) and Aman Hakim Khan (4) within six balls as Delhi Capitals slumped to 62/5 after electing to bat first on winning the toss. Manish Pandey (34 off 27) and Axar Patel (34 off 34) revived the innings a bit but Delhi Capitals lost wickets in a heap again as they ended up with a below-par score at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here.

Despite a slump in the run rate in the middle overs, Conway's unbeaten 77 off 57 laced with 12 boundaries and a six helped the hosts to seal the win with eight balls remaining.

CSK bowlers were at their best as they didn't let SRH batters pace up the innings. After a modest start in the powerplay, SRH scored 57 runs in the middle overs with just four boundaries and a maximum and also lost four wickets in quick succession, getting reduced to 102/5 after 15 overs.

Sunrisers suffered an early blow as Jason Behrendorff got the big fish Harry Brook, the centurion from the last game, in the second over. Brook went for the pull but he hit the splice of the bat and the ball went straight up. Suryakumar Yadav ran in from cover to take a catch.

After two tight overs, Rohit Sharma hit a hat-trick of fours to Washington Sundar to accelerate the innings. In the process, the MI skipper completed 6000 runs in the IPL before falling in the fifth over off the bowling of Marco Jansen.
