DC failed to chase down the 198-run target as they were restricted to 188/6 in 20 overs. Mayank Markande led from the front with the ball with an excellent spell of 4-0-20-2 as SRH bowlers bounced back and survived Phil Salt's (59 off 35) and Mitchell Marsh's blitzes (63 off 39) to break the three-match losing streak on Saturday night.

Speaking about the match, Mitchell Marsh, who put up a remarkable all-round show of 4/27 with the ball and 63 runs off 39 balls with the bat, stated, "It was very disappointing to lose that one. We always talk about small margins in T20 cricket and there were probably a few areas where we let ourselves down but still proud of the group and a lot of belief in the group."

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, SRH were off to a decent start courtesy of opener Abhishek Sharma's attacking approach. They scored 62/2 after the end of the first six overs -- their second-highest powerplay score this season.
