She said that those speaking about the voice of India, never heard the voices of Kashmiri Pandits and victims of anti-Sikh riots. The crux of all the problems is dynasty politics, she said, adding that Congress was not India, as the party defines incompetence.

At a press conference Irani said, "It is ridiculous that leaders who saw the murder of democracy during Emergency are today coming together under the leadership of the Congress." Hitting back at former Congress president Rahul Gandhi's statement, she said: "I especially thank Congress for publicly announcing that they cannot alone defeat PM Modi and that they need the support of others to do so."

Irani, the Minister of Women and Child Development, in a reply to a tweet by Congress, said: "O divine political creature, I have just left Sirsira village in Salon assembly constituency of Amethi towards Dhuranpur. If you are looking for former MP please contact in the US." Her remarks came after the Congress from its official.

Addressing the media here, Smriti Irani said, "In an attempt to insult PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi also insulted the entire OBC community. This is not the first time Gandhi family has tried to insult people from Dalit or backward communities. When a woman from the tribal family became the President, even then Droupadi Murmu was.
