The Samajwadi Party suffered a humiliating defeat and could not win even a single seat. Three seats were won by independent candidates. The Jansatta Dal, floated by Raghuraj Pratap Singh a.k.a. Raja Bhaiyya, retained the Pratapgarh seat where Akshay Pratap Singh Gopalji was the candidate.

Modi virtually inaugurated the hostel and education complex of Shri Annapurnadham Trust at Adalaj, Gujarat. He also performed the Bhumipujan of Hiramani ArogyaDham of Jansahayak Trust during the event. Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendrabhai Patel was among those present on the occasion.

"Today is the World Health Day. Yoga is a practice that brings about harmony between the body and the mind. It gives us physical power and provides mental balance and emotional stability to meet modern life challenges successfully. We are organising this event to mark the 75 days Countdown to International Yoga Daya," said Sarbananda Sonowal.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the BJP workers in New Delhi. In his speech, the prime minister said that the people of India trust the  BJP and it has been proved after the party retained power in four states that went to assembly polls recently. He also slammed the Opposition parties for blatantly following the evils of "dynastic politics" and "vote-bank politics".

The Prime Minister will address a conference of local body representatives in Samba on National Panchayati Raj Day on April 24. This will be his first visit to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. Efforts are being made for a meeting between the Prime Minister and representatives of the Kashmiri Pandit community.

The development comes nearly two months after Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice-President & Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu on February 28, levelling serious charges against the ED and accusing the central agency of running an 'extortion racket' in Mumbai.

"Today I met the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Sh. @narendramodi ji and discussed issues of Punjab," Bittu tweeted. While Congress leaders restrained from commenting on the meeting, sources close to Bittu said that there was nothing much in the meeting which was a courtesy call. However, recent instances of Congress leaders leaving the party have triggered speculation of another Congressman desetring the party.

The bureaucrats shared their concerns during a nearly four-hour-long meeting with PM Modi that was held at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, news agency PTI reported. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister PK Mishra and Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba also attended this meeting along with other top bureaucrats of the Union government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday underscored the importance of an enhanced regional connectivity, cooperation and security among the BIMSTEC countries. The Prime Minister called upon fellow leaders to strive to transform the Bay of Bengal into a bridge of connectivity, prosperity, and security among the BIMSTEC-member countries. Modi participated in the fifth Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit hosted in virtual mode by Sri Lanka, the current chair of BIMSTEC.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said "if anyone is being harassed anywhere, then definitely raise your voice". The Prime Minister said this during his virtual address at the Matua Dharma Maha Mela 2022 at Shreedham Thakurnagar, Thakurbari in West Bengal on the occasion of 211th birth anniversary of Shree ShreeHarichand Thakur ji.
