Zelensky warns against Russia's 'even larger operations' in E.Ukraine

In his latest nightly video address, the President said: "They can use even more missiles against us, even more air bombs... But we are preparing for their actions. We will respond." Zelenksy's warning came after General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces said on Sunday evening that Russia was trying to prepare for an offensive operation in the eastern Donbas region.
Over 4.5mn people flee Ukraine since starting of war: UNHCR

As of Sunday, the UNHCR said there were 4,503,954 Ukrainian refugees, 62,291 more than the previous day, the BBC reported. According to the UN agency, this is the first time for Europe to witness such a large number of refugees since the Second World War. The UNHCR said that 90 per cent of those who have fled are women and children, as most men aged 18-60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine as they must stay and join the country's forces.
'Zelensky will only meet Putin after Ukraine's victory in major battles'

In a televised address, presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak said: "Ukraine is ready for major battles, Ukraine must win these battles, including the battle over Donbas. After that Ukraine will have a more substantial negotiating position to dictate certain terms. "After that, the Presidents will meet. It may take two weeks, it may take three."
Ukraine imposes full trade embargo against Russia

"A trade embargo has been imposed against the Russian Federation. The import of goods from the Russian Federation into the customs territory of Ukraine is prohibited," Ukrayinska Pravda quoted Taras Melnychuk, representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in Parliament, as saying on Saturday. On February 23, just a day before the invasion, Ukraine had extended a ban on trade on a number of goods with Russia for a year.
132 bodies found in Ukraine mass grave

Speaking to the media on Friday, Makariv's Mayor Vadym Tokar said: "As of yesterday, we have found 132 civilians who have been shot dead by the Russian 'orcs'," Ukrayinska Pravda reported. He said besides the bodies in the mass grave, corpses were also found in the streets of the town. Tokar added that 40 per cent of the entire town has been destroyed and many of the buildings cannot be restored.
'Russian soldiers who were at Chernobyl have a year to live at most'

Chernobyl, the site of the world's worst nuclear accident, fell to the Russian troops on the first day of Moscow's invasion on February 24. On April 5, National Guard of Ukraine seized it and took control of the facility after the troops fully evacuated the premises on March 31. Speaking to the local media on Friday, Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said that not only were the troops exposed to the radiation, but their military equipment has also been contaminated.
Zelensky hails visit of senior European officials to Ukraine

"This is a very strong signal that Ukraine and the European Union are together," Zelensky said at the joint press briefing with von der Leyen and Borrell in Kiev on Friday. Zelensky thanked the European officials for coming to Ukraine in difficult times and for visiting Bucha outside Kiev, where hundreds of murdered civilians were allegedly found after Russian forces withdrew, Xinhua news agency reported.
Russia expels 45 Polish diplomats in retaliation

In a statement on Friday night, the Ministry said it had summoned the Polish Ambassador and declared 45 employees of Poland's Embassy in Moscow and of Polish consulates in Irkutsk, Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg "personae non gratae" who must leave Russia by April 13, reports Xinhua news agency. On March 23, the Polish Foreign Ministry ordered 45 Russian diplomats to depart within five days as part of a coordinated action by Western countries to expel several hundreds diplomats in the wake of Moscow's invasion of Kiev.
Ukraine records over 100 attacks on healthcare: WHO

Of the current total of 103 attacks, 89 have impacted health facilities and 13 have impacted transport, including ambulances. "We are outraged that attacks on health care are continuing. Attacks on health care are a violation of international humanitarian law. Peace is the only way forward. I again call on the Russian Federation to stop the war," Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, said at a press conference.
Russian forces fully withdraw from northern Ukraine: UK

The Ministry added that "at least some of these forces will transferred to east Ukraine to fight in Donbas" which comprises the separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. It also said that many of these of these forces will need "significant replenishment before being ready to deploy further east".
