JEE Main 2022: July session results to be declared on August 6, says NTA

According to the media reports, candidates can raise objections on the answer key till August 5. Once the result and answer key is out, the candidates can check it on the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. If a candidate feels to raise objections on JEE Main answer key, they can do so by paying a non refundable fee of Rs 200 per question.

The JEE Main 2022 paper 2 is scheduled to take place on July 30, 2022. Additionally, hall tickets for candidates who will take paper 1 (BTech/BE) at test centres outside India have also been released. According to the schedule the exams in 17 cities outside India, will be held on July 28 and July 29. The NTA conducted the first session of the JEE exam from June 20 to June 29, 2022. However, the answer key, question paper and recorded response sheets for the first session were made available by the NTA on July 2.

Sarita Pareek said, said, "I studied for 12 hours a day. I believe that the foundation of a person should be strong. Whatever I have learned in the last two years, has helped me in the JEE Main Session 1 examination this year. Besides that, there was a lot of support from the practice tests as their pattern and difficulty level are similar to JEE Main. Due to this, I did not face any problems in the JEE Main paper. The faculty is experienced and supportive."

The exam is held for admission into undergraduate engineering programmes like - BE/B.Tech — at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and certain institutions or universities recognised by some state governments. When a candidate qualifies for JEE Mains, she/he is eligible to sit for JEE (Advanced), gateway entrance test for admission to the IITs. The number of attempts for JEE Main were increased from 1 to 2 in 2019. In 2021, it was further increased to 4 due to the disruptions caused by the pandemic.

According to NTA, "the candidates who have applied and successfully paid the Examination Fee for JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1 and want to appear for JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 2, are required to log in with their previous Application Number and Password as provided in Session 1. They may only choose the Paper, Medium of the Examination, and cities for Session 2 and pay the Examination Fees." Earlier the last date to apply for session 2(July Session) was June 30.

The candidates are advised to raise objections by July 4. The JEE Main 2022 answer key objection window will remain open till 5 PM tomorrow, candidates can visit the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in , to raise questions. In order to raise objections, candidates need to pay a fee of Rs 200 per question. Candidates are advised to pay the fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking, and Paytm. It is to be noted that the fee is non-refundable.

The registration process has been reopened due to the demand of a large section that could not fill their applications because of the clash of dates of entrance examinations and their board examinations. However, now NTA has rescheduled the dates for JEE Mains and the students now wish to apply again for it.
