One killed, one missing as two avalanches hit Sonamarg in J&K

Officials said that two avalanches hit Sonamarg in the morning today. "The first avalanche rolled down in Sarbal area, and the second in Hung area of Sonamarg." "One dead body, probably of a labourer, has been traced so far under the Sarbal avalanche while another person is still missing.

Severe cold intensifies in J&K; Drass in Ladakh freezes at minus 20.8

"Cold, dry weather with partly cloudy sky is expected in J&K and Ladakh during the next 24 hours," said an official of the MeT department. Srinagar had minus 4.4, Pahalgam minus 7.2 and Gulmarg minus 9.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. In Ladakh region, Drass had minus 20.8, Kargil minus 17.2 and Leh minus 14 as the minimum temperature.
Four civilians dead in terror attack in J&K's Rajouri, 6 injured

Police sources said terrorists fired at three houses in Dangri village, around 8 km away from Rajouri town. "Terrorists fired at civilians living in three houses in Dangri village, injuring 10 people. "While doctors said 3 injured had been declared as brought dead, another succumbed to critical injuries in the hospital," a police official said.

"Number of militants killed from the LeT/TRF outfit during this year was 108 followed by 35 from JeM, 22 from HM, four from Al-Badr and 3 from AGuH," Vijay Kumar, ADGP (Kashmir), said "Hundred fresh recruitments were reported into militant ranks in 2022 showing a decline of 37 per cent over the last year. Of these, 74 joined the LeT.
Four truck-borne terrorists killed in Jammu gunfight (2nd Ld)

"Security forces noticed suspicious movement of a truck going to Srinagar from Jammu in the Sidhra area. Kashmir Zonal Police headquarters confirmed in a tweet that all the three terrorists who had got trapped in a cordon-and-search operation at Manj Marg in Shopian, in the foothills of the Pir Panjal Mountain range in the wee hours on Tuesday, had been neutralised.
