Moqaddam had temporarily departed for Iran on January 16, before the recent escalation between Iran and Pakistan.

Additionally, Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, is set to visit Pakistan on January 29 at the invitation of Pakistani Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani.

The Pakistan Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Mumtaz Baloch, announced the development, stating that the decision for the return of ambassadors was made following a telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Iran.

Emphasizing the importance of respecting territorial integrity and sovereignty, both ministers agreed to strengthen working-level cooperation and close coordination on counter-terrorism and other mutual concerns.

In a statement, the military's media wing reported that precision strikes were executed in the early hours of Thursday using a combination of killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons. Careful measures were taken to minimize collateral damage during the operation.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), led by imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, denounced Iran's actions as irresponsible and reprehensible, warning that it could undermine the much-needed unity among the Muslim Ummah during a crucial time.

Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards reportedly executed the strikes a day after launching missile attacks on targets in Iraq and Syria.

The targeted bases, attributed to the Jaysh al-Dhulm terrorist organization, were meticulously demolished through a combination of well-executed missile and drone attacks.

The assault, occurring in Kerman city, has been confirmed by Iranian authorities to have resulted in at least 84 casualties, as per the updated statistics released on Thursday.

This adjustment was further corroborated by Mohammad Saberi, the head of Kerman's emergency organization, as relayed by the Iranian Students' News Agency, confirming the lower casualty count.
