Goa-bound flight from Moscow made an emergency landing in Jamnagar airport on Monday night at 9.30 p.m. following the bomb threat. It was diverted to Jamnagar after an email warning of a bomb in the flight was received. After landing at Dabolim airport in Goa, the Russian tourists said that they are lucky to be safe.

Jamnagar Superintendent of Police, Premsukh Delu told the media, "NSG team and local Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad (BDDS) teams are detecting the entire flight, only after the NSG gives clearance, the flight will be allowed to take off from Jamnagar and it is likely to take more time, as entire flight and passengers baggage is to be cleared by the teams."

The Vice President will take the oath of office on August 11, as the term of the incumbent Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu ends on August 10. Meanwhile, India's second largest Opposition party after the Congress, the Trinamool Congress had decided to abstain from the voting, saying it 'not been consulted' on Margaret Alva's candidature.
