In a recent ruling, the court denied Moitra interim relief in a defamation case involving BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Dehadrai. The case revolved around allegedly defamatory content shared on social media regarding accusations of "cash-for-query" against Moitra.

Justice Subramoniun Prasad emphasized that rules allowed authorities to permit an individual to overstay for a specific duration under exceptional circumstances.

The supplementary charge sheets have been filed before Additional Sessions Judge Pulastya Pramachala of Karkardooma court, which had earlier questioned the time and date of the incidents in the two cases in February 2020. The court had raised query to provide concrete description of time as well, apart from date and place of each alleged incident and to submit synopsis with reference to relevant pieces of evidence. 

A division bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad passed the order on NGO Social Jurist's PIL after having reserved it on May 17. While doing so, it said that courts cannot interfere in the legislative procedure as it refused to direct Lieutenant.

The petition states that Atishi, as an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, has been invited by Cambridge University to speak at a conference on 'India at 100: Towards Becoming a Global Leader' on June 15.

A bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that the court finds it tough to grant interim bail to the AAP leader, who has serious allegations on him in the matter. The court finds it very difficult to persuade to release the petitioner on interim bail for six weeks, Justice Sharma said.

According to the High Court order, Sisodia can meet his wife from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow. Sisodia has been directed not to interact with the media in any manner and not to meet anyone else except his family. Furthermore, it has instructed Sisodia to stay away from cell phones and the internet.

The suit is listed for hearing on Wednesday before Justice Chandra Dhari Singh. Gambhir has taken legal action against the paper, its editor Aditya Chopra, and correspondents Amit Kumar and Imran Khan

On Thursday, the High Court had reserved its judgement on the AAP leader's bail plea. Sisodia had moved to the high court on April 3, seeking interim bail in the case on the grounds of his wife's illness.
