Google Assistant can now help find lost iPhone

Android users have long been able to use the Google Assistant to trigger a sound for their smartphone if it got lost. According to MacRumors, that same ability, much like Apple's own Find My system, is coming to the iPhone. The feature will let users who have a Google Assistant-enabled smart speaker and the accompanying Google Home app for iOS find a misplaced device, the report said.
Instagram testing 3 new 'like' options to empower users

According to The Verge, the company has announced a "small global test" that will present users with these options. The company added that it is was also "working on a similar experience" for Facebook. Instagram last year ran a test to hide 'like' counts on posts in seven different countries, announced in November that it was expanding the test globally.
LG-GM joint venture to build second US battery plant

Ultrium Cells, a joint venture between LG and GM, has picked a site in Tennessee for their second electric vehicle (EV) battery plant, which will be similar in scope to its $2.3 billion Ohio plant, according to sources familiar with the matter. The two companies will jointly announce the investment plan on Friday, they noted.

iPhones in 2022 to feature 48MP camera, no mini: Report

According to AppleInsider, citing famed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's top-tier "iPhone 14" models will adopt a 1/1.3-inch 48MP CMOS image sensor for wide-angle camera module duties. "We believe that the new 2H2022 iPhone may support direct 48MP output and 12MP (four cells merge output mode) output simultaneously," Kuo said in a note to investors.
Samsung thanks Biden administration for chip supply meeting

Samsung was one of the 19 global firms and the only South Korean company that attended the White House's virtual meeting on Monday (local time), where Biden stressed a need to invest in the semiconductor industry and secure the country's supply chain. Choi Si-young, who heads Samsung's foundry business, reportedly attended the virtual meeting, reports Yonhap news agency.

The company also announced realme as the first smartphone brand in India to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. "The MediaTek Dimensity 700 brings the power of 5G to the India market. The SoC is designed in line with our vision to spread the benefits of 5G to consumers everywhere in an accelerated manner," Anku Jain, Managing Director, MediaTek India, said in a statement.
