Google launching new rules to improve app quality on Play Store
In a fresh bid to sanitise its Play Store, Google has announced new policies and guidelines to improve app quality and discovery for users. The company said that app title, icon and developer name that do not meet the upcoming policies will not be allowed on Google Play.

This experiment is available on some videos to a small group of people and the company considers rolling this out more broadly, based on feedback. Microsoft reduces Windows Store cut to 12%
These changes will only affect PC games and not Xbox console games in Microsoft's store. "As part of our commitment to empowering every PC game creator to achieve more, starting on August 1 the developer share of Microsoft Store PC games sales net revenue will increase to 88 per cent, from 70 per cent," Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios at Microsoft, said in a statement.
Sony officially releases PS5 in China
The Playstation 5 console is expected to go on sale in China and it will retail for 3,899 yuan ($603) for the disc version while the digital edition of PS5 will retail for 3,099 yuan ($479). The prices are higher than those of the US which starts at $399, GizmoChina reported on Friday.
