Lava Launches Storm Play and Storm Lite Smartphones in India, Priced Below ₹10,000

The Storm Play, as per Lava, is creating buzz as the global first smartphone to boast the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset.

Lava has widened its range of phones by launching its Storm Series for the first time, with two new models — Storm Play at ₹9,999 and Storm Lite at ₹7,999. Both phones are set to take on competition in the fiercely competitive sub-₹10,000 segment.

The Storm Play, as per Lava, is creating buzz as the global first smartphone to boast the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset. It is also the first phone in the sub-₹10,000 segment to offer LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, normally available in premium phones.

Storm Lite also comes to market with an important industry first — Lava says it is India's first smartphone under ₹8,000 with the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which puts it a class apart.

Shared Design, Unique Capabilities
Both phones feature a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals, and both phones have a 5000mAh battery. The two phones vary greatly, though, when it comes to performance and camera aspects.
