Motorola has added to its Edge 60 family in India with the launch of the Motorola Edge 60, joining the Edge 60 Pro, Edge 60 Stylus, and Edge 60 Fusion that are already available. Succeeding last year's Edge 50, which was a hit, the latest phone that has been unveiled comes with significant enhancements such as an improved processor and battery capacity.
While it first debuted in select markets around the world in April with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, the Indian model is given a performance boost with the addition of the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor.
Display and Design
The Motorola Edge 60 is equipped with a 6.67-inch quad-curved p-OLED display, offering a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a fluid and responsive user experience. It also includes Water Touch 3.0 technology and SGS-certified Eye Care protection, designed to reduce eye strain during extended usage.
Camera Capabilities
Photography is one of the major selling points of this smartphone. The camera system on the back comprises a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. There's also a robust 50MP front camera for taking selfies and video calls.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 60 draws power from the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC, paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB native storage. For those looking for additional space, the phone features a dedicated microSD card slot with support up to 1TB of further space.
The phone comes with Android 15 pre-installed, with Motorola's Hello UI skin on top. Three years of mainstream Android updates and four years of security updates are promised by the company, guaranteeing software support in the long run.
Battery, Durability, and Audio
Powered by a 5500mAh battery, the Edge 60 has 68W fast charging support, making it easy to top up quickly. The phone has IP68 and IP69 certification for water and dust resistance and meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade protection standards. In terms of audio, it has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Moto AI optimizations for intelligent functionality.
Pricing, Availability, and Launch Offers
The Motorola Edge 60 costs ₹25,999 for the single configuration that comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will come in two Pantone-licensed colour options: Gibraltar Sea and Shamrock. It goes on sale on June 17, and the phone will be retailed through Flipkart, Motorola's website, and offline stores.
Along with its launch promotion, Motorola is also offering an instant ₹1,000 discount to those using specific bank cards, reducing the effective price to ₹24,999.
