The Badminton World Federation (BWF) awarded bipartite quota places to Suhas L. Yathiraj in men's singles SL4 and Manoj Sarkar in men's singles SL3, the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) said in a release on Friday. The addition of the two para shuttlers also boosted India's medal prospects in the two men's singles categories. India already has Bhagat in men's singles SL3.

The 23-year-old Nagal, ranked 154th in the world according to the latest ATP rankings, is currently in Germany, where he lost the Round-of-32 match in the Hamburg European Open to Juan Pablo Varillas of Peru. Group 1 comprises defending champions West Indies pooled alongside 2010 champions England, Australia and South Africa along with two qualifiers from Round 1 joining them. Group 2 comprises 2007 champions India, 2009 winners Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan and two qualifiers from Round 1. The two groups for Super 12 were created on the basis of team rankings as of 20 March 2021.
