Tokyo bids adieu to Paralympics with message of change

The ceremony was themed on a youngster's awakening about the Paralympic Games, para-sportspersons, and their different abilities and personalities. He wakes up in a prototype of the Paralympic Games village, which resembles a miniature city, where para-sportspersons start arriving, preparing, and participating in the Games and depicts how his approach towards the participants changes.

India began the first half well, with Bipin Singh penetrating through the Nepal backline from the left flank on several occasions. In the sixth minute, he played in a looping ball for an onrushing Manvir Singh to head but Kiran Limbu came charging off his line to collect. Another Bipin cross put Nepali under pressure in the 24th minute as Anirudh Thapa looked to bring the ball under his control inside the penalty area.
Sharma, Pujara suffer niggles, don't come out to field

"Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara will not take the field. Rohit has discomfort in his left knee while Pujara has pain in his left ankle. On Sunday, India ended the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games with 19 medals -- five gold, eight silver and six bronze -- a dramatic and historic rise for the country that had collected only 12 medals while participating in 11 editions of the Games from 1968 till 2016. Deepak Malik, who won the shot put F53 silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and is the top office-bearer of the PCI now, tweeted, "Indian para-sports were in infancy till Rio2016.
4th Test: KL Rahul fined 15% of match fees for showing dissent

"Rahul was found to have breached Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, relating to 'showing dissent at an umpire's decision during an International Match'. One demerit point will also be added to Rahul's disciplinary record as it was his first offence in a 24-month period," said a release by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday.
