IPL 2025 Set to Resume May 17: RCB vs KKR in Bengaluru, Final on June 3 Across Six Venues

The league will resume at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play Kolkata Knight Riders on May 17.

Following discussions with the government, security personnel, and all concerned parties, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated that the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will resume on May 17. The remainder of the tournament will be played at six chosen venues.

The league will resume at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play Kolkata Knight Riders on May 17. The IPL was suspended for a week because of increased military tensions following missile and drone attacks that Pakistan launched, which were effectively repelled by Indian defence systems.

Interestingly, Dharamsala and Mohali have been left out of the new schedule. Punjab Kings' home match against Mumbai Indians, which was earlier relocated to Ahmedabad, has now been re-designated to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and will be played on May 26.

The final of the tournament is now scheduled for June 3, and the playoffs will start on May 29. The BCCI will announce the venues for these playoff matches in due course.
