PM Modi Visits Adampur Airbase After 'Operation Sindoor', Says Nation Eternally Grateful to Armed Forces

The visit follows closely after the Indian and Pakistani governments announced a ceasefire, coming on the heels of the successful outcome of 'Operation Sindoor' — a high-impact anti-terror operation conducted by Indian forces, hitting important terrorist establishments in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Early on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made a visit to the Adampur Airbase in Punjab to personally acknowledge Indian Air Force personnel for their courage and unflinching devotion towards protecting the country.

Sources said troops said that the interaction was very inspiring, with the troops indicating the Prime Minister's visit greatly improving their morale. The air warriors in their combat fatigues were clearly beaming with pride, showing their ready-to-go attitude and discipline.

Expressing his feelings on X, PM Modi posted:
"A little while back this morning, I visited AFS Adampur and greeted our courageous air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special moment to be among those who personify courage, determination and fearlessness. India is forever indebted to our armed forces for all that they do for our country."

Adampur Airbase had been among the Pakistani targets in its retaliatory bid on the evening of May 9–10, following India's cross-border targeted strikes against terror camps. Indian air defence systems efficiently intercepted and neutralized incoming Pakistani drones and missiles, highlighting the armed forces' alertness and operational preparedness.

The Prime Minister's trip also soon followed his national address where he hailed the armed forces for their accurate and firm implementation of Operation Sindoor.
