"I have worked as the RDPR Minister till date under CM Bommai's leadership. I have taken a decision to tender my resignation on Friday evening. Since then, there has been a speculation about its announcement. For the past several weeks, preparations are going on to make 300 units of electricity free in Punjab. Earlier, Mann had also met senior officials of Punjab.
PM to unveil 108 feet statue of Lord Hanuman in Gujarat's Morbi
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that this statue is the second of the four statues being set up in the four directions across the country, as part of 'Hanumanji4dham' project. It has been set up in the west, at the Ashram of Param Pujya Bapu Keshvanand ji in Morbi. "The first statue of the series was set up in the north in Shimla in 2010. Work on the statue in the south at Rameswaram has been started," the PMO added.
Manjhi calls Lord Ram 'imaginary' character, triggers row
Speaking at an event organised by HAM MLA Praful Kumar Manjhi at Sikandra in Jamui district to mark Ambedkar Jayanti on Thursday, Manjhi said: "I don't believe Ram was a God. Ram was a character created by Tulsidas and Valmiki to spread their message." On September 22 last year, Manjhi had sparked a row after calling Lord Ram a historic figure who is just a character in a mythological story.
