A formal prayer ceremony before Kejriwal and his family shifted to the new house was held at the government residence on Ferozeshah Road. This residence is close to the head office of the Aam Aadmi Party and had been allotted to Ashok Mittal, AAP's Rajya Sabha member from Punjab.

The ceremony was conducted with Vedic rituals as per the ancient traditions of the Peeth, said an official statement.
