Rs 2,100 Monthly for Women and 5 Lakh Jobs in 5 Years, BJP Unveils 'Five Vows' for Jharkhand

The party has promised Rs 2,100 per month to women in the state under the 'Gogo Didi Yojana'. The aim is to make the women of the state financially empowered while remembering the contribution of a woman towards the society too.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Saturday declared its "Panch Pran" (five vows) for the coming Jharkhand Assembly elections, focusing on the welfare of women, jobs for youth and economic support for the young.

The party has promised Rs 2,100 per month to women in the state under the 'Gogo Didi Yojana'. The aim is to make the women of the state financially empowered while remembering the contribution of a woman towards the society too.

The second promise ensures the distribution of gas cylinders at every house at Rs 500 and two free cylinders within one year.

The party promises that five lakh jobs will be given in government sectors in the next five years, whereas keeping most of its opportunities open for the youth of Jharkhand.

Giving graduate students and postgraduate students Rs 2,000 per month to prepare for competitive examinations under 'Yuva Sathi Yojana' is the fourth promise.

And with this final vow, the BJP has made sure that permanent housing for all families in the state of Jharkhand will soon become a reality.

On Saturday, at a press conference in Ranchi, the state president of the BJP, Babulal Marandi, said: "These are not just promises, but commitments the party would fulfill if it were to come to power."

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and other senior leaders attended the event.

Under the 'Gogo Didi Yojana', Marandi pointed out that, in Santhali, the word Gogo means mother and the scheme hopes to ensure respect and economic independence of women. Form distribution is still on, and money will be transferred into the accounts of the beneficiaries by the 11th of the next month in case of an NDA government.

He claims that BJP was the first to introduce such a scheme in states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Assam.
The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has described these vows as part of the model of good governance given by the BJP.
