RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said here on Friday that India is already a Hindu nation but it has to be made more advanced, capable, and strong.
The RSS Chief is on a four-day visit to Baran since Thursday.
Bhagwat went to the ancient 'Piyare Ramji Ka Mandir' located on Mangrol Road of Baran city on Friday morning for the darshan of the deity. Very soon after offering prayers here, he got detailed information regarding the history of the temple three centuries old.
The RSS Chief then attended the program along with other Sangh workers in the branch on the temple premises. All volunteers of the branch engaged themselves in several programs such as exercise, Yoga, Surya Namaskar, Amrit Vachan, and song singing.
The RSS Chief said that making a stranger familiar, that familiarity into an acquaintance, then acquaintance to befriend and that friend to make him a swayamsevak was the formula to link society with the branch. Capable swayamsevaks will be produced for the society with the help of these shakhas, he added.
Subsequently, Bhagwat along with volunteers of RSS has planted saplings outside the temple premises. On the inauguration day, 51 saplings of the species like amla, bilvapatra, peepal, etc, were planted on the campuses. The swayamsevaks of Shakha also pledged to take care of the plants.
A meeting was subsequently held with the Shakha team wherein Bhagwat gathered detailed information about the branch. A detailed discussion was also held over the topic of regular one-hour programmes which were conducted in the RSS Shakha.
Bhagwat had said earlier on Thursday that the "main objective" of celebrating the Sangh's centenary year is an organised and disciplined society. The RSS chief told, "We do not need to celebrate the centenary year as a festival. Our aim is to fulfill the dream of an organized, strong and disciplined Hindu society that Doctor Saheb (Keshav Baliram Hedgewar) had seen by the centenary year."
