PM Modi Accuses INDIA Bloc Leaders of Cowardice Regarding Pakistan's Nuclear Strength

The Prime Minister's rant comes in the wake of a statement made by National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, where he hinted at Pakistan's nuclear arsenal and dismissed any idea of being termed weak if they were wearing bangles.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a blistering attack on the opposition INDIA bloc in his three back-to-back rallies in Bihar's Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Saran Lok Sabha constituencies. He termed opposition leaders as "cowards" who were afraid of Pakistan's nuclear might. Modi asserted that India would make Pakistan wear bangles if it did not do so voluntarily.

In his characteristic oratory flair, Modi accused the INDIA bloc of being timid before Pakistan and rubbished their fear of its nuclear might. Mocking, he said, "Now they (Pakistan) need 'atta' (flour). They also don't have electricity. I didn't know that they do not even have an adequate supply of bangles," as he mocked the opposition's view.

Recalling the opposition's stand on different issues, Modi termed them as being soft on Pakistan on the issue of terrorism and skeptical of surgical strikes. He further attacked their Left allies for advocating the scrapping of India's nuclear arsenal.

Modi further expressed concern over the INDIA bloc's idea of a rotational premiership, where five leaders would be in turn PM if the combine came to power. He warned of chaos in such an eventuality, terming it as doomed to fail.

Terming the ongoing polls as historic, Modi said the country needs a government that would further elevate India's stature and influence in the world.

Modi also used the platform to highlight the achievements of his government, particularly in weeding out corruption and ensuring social justice. He termed the opposition's reported agenda as appeasement of a particular community for political gain, vowing to protect the interest of every citizen.

Talking about the political scenario of Bihar, Modi held the RJD responsible for building a culture of corruption and said that the NDA is committed to the cause of social justice.

Addressing the rallies, Modi appealed to the voters for forming a strong government by the NDA, as his government is dedicated to development and empowerment.

Before the public meetings, Modi paid a visit to Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, one of the sacred Sikh shrines. He took part in the prayers here and served 'langar' to the devotees. Feeling 'blessed' in his experience, Modi thanked for the opportunity to 'immerse' in the spiritual environment of the Gurudwara and shared the principles of Sikhism - equality and compassion.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, a former Union minister accompanying Modi on the visit, hailed the historical gesture of the Prime Minister and praised his participation in the langar activities.

Takhat Sri Patna Sahib, also known as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, is sacredly related to the Sikhs and gives evidence of the heritage of Guru Gobind Singh. It was built under the orders of Maharaja Ranjit Singh during the 18th century A.D. and is dedicated to the birthplace of the sacred Sikh Guru.
