INDIA bloc leaders fear Pakistan's nuclear power: Prime Minister Modi

"The INDIA bloc leaders appear to be afraid of Pakistan and its nuclear weapons," Modi said, while apparently referring to Abdullah's statement about Pakistan's reluctance to "wear bangles." "If Pakistan refuses to relent, we are ready to make them reconsider. I was aware of their scarcity in essentials like food grains, but now it seems they are even lacking an adequate supply of bangles," the PM quipped.

Addressing an election rally at Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the opposition INDIA bloc leaders are "timid" and "cowards" who are afraid of Pakistan and its nuclear weapons. Though he did not take the name of National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, he apparently alluded to Abdullah's recent statement over Pakistan's nuclear weapons.

Continuing to attack the opposition, the PM attacked their stand on national security, saying they were giving Pakistan a clean chit on terrorism and questioning India's surgical strikes. He also attacked the opposition's Left allies for demanding the scrapping of India's nuclear arsenal.

In another rally at Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency, the PM dwelled on corruption and said the money recovered in raids on politicians belongs to the poor people of the country. He said while only a meagre amount of money was recovered during the raid at some place during the Congress regime, huge recoveries have been made by agencies under his government.

Asserting his commitment to serving the common people over promoting familial succession, Modi declared, "I have no heirs; the common people are my successors." He warned against parties like the Congress and RJD exploiting vote bank politics, particularly over reservations for Muslims, vowing to resist such moves as long as he remains in office.

Modi also charged the opposition with making inflammatory remarks about the Ram temple in Ayodhya and asked voters to vote for the NDA for the creation of a strong government. He hailed his government's performance on infrastructure development and social justice initiatives while criticising the opposition's attempts to stall progress, including on women's reservations.

In an emotional tribute to the late Ram Vilas Paswan, Modi appealed for a vote for Paswan's son Chirag in the Hajipur seat, asking voters to ensure that he won handsomely by a margin that exceeds his father's record electoral victories.
